Piggy in the woods - ZX Spectrum Next
A downloadable game
A mini game for the ZX Spectrum Next.
Run, jump (and duck) through the forest and watch out for the creatures. There is treasure to be found! Piggy can move (and duck) while jumping - use this to your advantage.
Now for some fun Q&A:
Q: How did you get the ’retro’ feel so just right? A: You mean the abnormally large pixels? That would be laziness…
Q: We are astounded by the parallax effect. Do people faint when playing this game? A: We can’t say for sure but, yeah, probably.
Q: How about a certificate that says something like ‘I completed Piggy in the Woods’?. A: Excellent idea. How long would it take you to make this?
Q: My kids are scared of the snake. What’s wrong with a bunny rabbit? A: Feel free to edit the sprites. I used Remy Sharp’s sprite editor. https://zx.remysharp.com/sprites/

Looks simple but becomes very addictive quite quickly! Well done.
Thanks David! Glad you like it. This game was a challenge from my youngest son (age 20) to make a game in a week. It took a bit longer but it is a great way to start things moving!
Loved the game. Well Done! I gave it a whirl.
Here is my video.
